Didn’t know Clay had a boys DA? Such uninformed people in Jax. They played NPL and will continue to do so. Armada losing DA will mean their boys ECNL teams will be a whole lot stronger and will kick FESAs ***** all day long now!

That extension over the Shands is still years away. It's still probably easier to get to FESA compared to going to Patton though for the former Clay Girls DA kids.

The bigger question is whether Clay gets ECNL on their own. Most Clay GDA teams are pretty much 2/3 local players and 1/3 from all over (equally close to Patton or Veterans). Most of the 1/3 will be landing at FESA and Armada equally. The question is about the 2/3. Depending where they live in Clay County, the commute to Patton or Veterans might not be huge difference. If they are committed to the technical game, they will go to Patton. If they are just looking for the closest field, Veterans may look good.

Armada DA teams will be playing in the new MLS platform along with the rest of the FL DA clubs.

Unless JAX gets a MLS team, no they won't.

                Hello Armada Families,

We wanted to reach out to you and keep you in the loop on what's transpiring across the Nation. In light of the announcement that U.S. Soccer has disbanded the Development Academy and it’s competitive platform, the following clubs have agreed to form the basis of a new competitive team platform:
                · Armada FC Pro Academy
                · Chargers Soccer Club
                · IMG Academy
                · Miami Rush Kendall SC
                · South Florida Football Academy
                · Tampa Bay Rowdies
                · Weston FC
These clubs will partner together along with the existing MLS Academies to choose the best competitive platform that accommodates all the clubs and their aspirations for player development moving forward. The development platform will include a ten month season and maintain similar standards to those which were implemented as part of the Development Academy.

Lot of travel....why would most of those teams want to travel all the way from South Florida to Jacksonville? If you took Armada out of the equation wouldn't the travel be a lot more manageable. I mean, they don't have any competitive teams.

No. It’s no more a money grab than ECNL trying to expand and benefit from the DA fallout. Those in glass houses and all...

Funny guy! Travel is the same as before. Atlanta area teams still in it as well. More to come. Armada teams are plenty competitive.
