    Danilo Vittorato Trainer Rating

Does anyone know who he is, reputation and where he coaches. He was recommended by another parent for supplemental training. Thanks

He’s good if he is actually doing the training and is engaged. I’ve experienced him being there for the first couple of sessions then passing it off to a subordinate coach. I’ve also experienced him on the phone during a session.

Thanks for the input. If we choose to do more, will have to preference him being there if we are paying for it.

Excellent skills coach, not so great team coach. You can spot the girls who train with him in the off season.

Yep, very good when working with a few kids at a time. When dealing with entire teams he plays favorites and a lot of kids don't get much out of the training as a result. He is also very expensive, or at least he used to be.

all coaches have favorites...If your kid does not want to be a "favorite" of the current coach, find another coach.

Regardless, Danilo is a great trainer!

thats what i'm trying to say, small sided aka "skills" is exactly what you want as a trainer....he is very very good if you want to supplement your current training with your team.

The vast majority of soccer parents aren't qualified to determine the quality of a trainer. Anything beyond the observable basics of professionalism (punctuality, energy, work-ethic, appearance etc.) is beyond your comprehension. Soccer "teaching" is a nuanced art that most of you aren't qualified to speak on. I get it, everyone played soccer growing up and in high-school and you feel apart of the culture. That's great, but it doesn't mean you know the game.

Agreed, lots of clueless parents out here. That what makes our lives as coaches and trainers very difficult.

Just because you have an accent doesn't make you a great trainer.

One doesn't have to be a genius to notice that the trainer is only paying attention to 4 of the 17 girls at practice for the hour and a half of the session.
