Really though if by some miracle soccer starts back up in June we will most likely see friendlies and regional showcases. ECNL Northeast South, ECNL Northeast North, DA Northeast, DA Atlantic, etc.. etc.. Even all of this is a stretch but the 400 team, 125 college coaches in attendance events are not happening this year.

Leagues will be trying to get in as many games as they can so they don't have to give refunds. ECNL and DA will try to do something in July showcase wise, USYS will attempt to do state cups and regionals and when that happens there goes the draw for college coaches to attend Jeff Cup.

As Bill Gates has stated, there is no returning to "normal" until there is a vaccine. Human trials just started for one candidate. We are likely still 12 months or longer from a true solution.
In the meantime, what's the plan? Keep the economy shut down for 12+ months? You will have depression, hyperinflation, civil unrest and revolution, in that order. Not an option. The reality is the models were wrong regarding the mortality rate, which did take into account social distancing and quarantines. As of right now, with the exception of of some very large urban areas, this virus is a non-issue. The only reason politicians and especially governors aren't talking about reopening the economy right now is that they know voters will be pissed if they just suffered financially and it wasn't necessary, so governors are stuck keeping up pretenses.
Open up the economy. Let people go back to their jobs. Start sports up again. Allow for herd immunity while working towards a vaccine and maintaining social distancing for vulnerable groups like senior citizens. That is literally the only solution to go forward. The sooner everyone realizes that and pushes for that, the better off we'll be.
