"The redeployment gratifies Vladimir Putin, who since Russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea has been slowly and not very stealthily dismembering Europe’s geographically largest nation: Ukraine. Putin, the other world figure who is a cauldron of resentments, has a special grievance against NATO for its role in the Soviet Union’s demise, which he considers “the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.” He surely has enjoyed Trump’s denigration of NATO and would relish the alliance’s disintegration."

Trump apologists, please explain how this is good for America.
It's sad that some people still deny that trump is compromised by Russia and other enemies of democracy.

Trump also is ending the open skies treaty, another bonus for Russia.

Meanwhile Trump's "beautiful friendship" with North Korea's Kim has soured. Chalk up another failure.

" North Korea officially declared an end Friday to its diplomatic dalliance with the U.S. But experts say it’s been clear for some time that President Donald Trump’s bold but risky effort to sweet talk Kim Jong into relinquishing his nuclear weapons never really went anywhere.

Two high-profile meetings with North Korea’s leader bought Trump a hiatus from bellicose rhetoric and nuclear tests, but Kim never stopped building nuclear warheads and the missiles to deliver them, U.S. intelligence officials and private analysts say."

        Putin's puppet

Donald John Trump is, just as Hillary Clinton charged in the 2016 debate, Putin’s puppet. Russia has continued to attack the United States, even as Trump has capitulated to Putin, privately and publicly, and run interference on his behalf. The damage done to our institutions is incalculable.

The Russian election fvckery of 2016 continues into 2020, unabated, despite ample warnings from our IC, military, cybersecurity experts, and law enforcement. Trump has done nothing to stop it. Neither have Republicans in Congress, chiefly the traitor Mitch McConnell. Facebook has more or less been weaponized on Trump’s behalf, and the traitor Mark Zuckerberg is uninterested in disarmament. Fox News continues to spew Trumpist propaganda, even in the face of a global pandemic.

In short: We are under attack, still, even as we pretend not to be.

We must stay vigilant. We must not relent. And we must not panic. Trump and his Russian owners will grow increasingly desperate between now and November.

The Trump administration took no apparent action in response, despite being briefed in March. Trump supporters, please explain this behavior.

Remember that AFTER being briefed on this intelligence, Trump once again pushed to have Russia re-admitted to the G8. Where is the explanation from the "no collusion" crowd?

Putin will offer a "strong and powerful" denial, and #BunkerBitch will believe THAT instead of his own Intelligence Community.

I just heard about that. Its appalling and nothingfrom the administration. Doubtful you will see a story on Fox covering it. International officials are also concerned Putin might ramp up his Ukrainian incursion (they're still occupying parts of Eastern Ukraine) in the fall to phuk with world leaders and Trump.

He might engage in a 3-week flurry of communication with Vladimir Putin, and try to hide the fact of some of those calls from the American people:

The story has been widely reported by news organizations of all political stripes, but you puke out a brainless kill-the-messenger response. Your surrender on this point couldn't be more obvious.

Trump is owned by Putin. Anyone who doesn't see it is either brain-damaged or blinded by Russian propaganda.

He might refuse to support any legislation aimed at preventing Russian election interference. He might try to deflect attention away from his opponent's unmistakably tough stance on foreign interference:

                            Joe Biden:
"In spite of President Trump’s failure to act, America’s adversaries must not misjudge the resolve of the American people to counter every effort by a foreign power to interfere in our democracy, whether by hacking voting systems and databases, laundering money into our political system, systematically spreading disinformation, or trying to sow doubt about the integrity of our elections."

"That is why, today, I am putting the Kremlin and other foreign governments on notice. If elected president, I will treat foreign interference in our election as an adversarial act that significantly affects the relationship between the United States and the interfering nation’s government. I will direct the U.S. Intelligence Community to report publicly and in a timely manner on any efforts by foreign governments that have interfered, or attempted to interfere, with U.S. elections. I will direct my administration to leverage all appropriate instruments of national power and make full use of my executive authority to impose substantial and lasting costs on state perpetrators. These costs could include financial-sector sanctions, asset freezes, cyber responses, and the exposure of corruption. A range of other actions could also be taken, depending on the nature of the attack. I will direct our response at a time and in a manner of our choosing."

Gee, does that include the Steele Dossier too? Guess not because, for some weird reason, Libtards don't wanna talk about that anymore. Spreading disinformation anyone? How about interfering with our democracy? Maybe we can try sowing doubt about the integrity of our elections. What a bunch of hypocrites. You've definitely lost this one!

If you want to talk about the Steele dossier, that's fine, but do it in the Breaking News thread and I'll respond over there. The topic here is election interference. Biden is taking a hard-line position against it, and trump won't do anything to stop it. Please explain trump's do-nothing policy without resorting to juvenile insults and whataboutisms.
