Don't be surprised if DA follows ECNL and adds as many spots as possible wherever they can so more Moms can tell their friends Little Mia is special.
In two years there will be a large percentage of DA kids that played DA their whole club career, and never got a sniff of a NT call up or any serious college interest. That's not saying all ECNL kids get serious college interest either, because they don't. But at least these kids had the opportunity to play HS. As bad as the soccer is, most of these kids would be the standouts and have a chance to shine in their community. They would have given that up for what?

I believe +90% of he graduating players on the Revs and Bolts DA teams are committed.

Actually, most of the kids that are obsessed with soccer could care less about shining in their community. They just want to enjoy playing soccer, which means their teammates need to understand the game and they need to be somewhat challenged. In situations where only 2-3 players on a high school team understand the game, it quickly becomes frustrating. Sure, it may be easy for them to destroy the entire midfield and backline in an individual effort, but that gets old quickly. It's always more fun to play in an environment that pushes you to get better, even if you're not NT material. I think almost anyone who has ever played sports competitively understands this.
heard from 2 different local sources that MLS ONLY next year.
No they will most likely expand the A/B slits they have for U19 right now to the other ages. It will appease ML for another year, but it's a temporary bandaid. MLS will be gone in another year, two max. But that bandaid still makes BDA less appealing to the B team players.
that confirms (1) BU13 survives this year, (2) BDA survives mostly as is for another year, (3) no BU16/17 split this year, and (4) MLS must be happy (?) with the winter cup/tier 1/2 in the U15-U19 AG for now.

USSF bought themselves another year with MLS but the writing is on the wall.
