Agree, but it also fits into a larger picture. Rec teams thing town teams are unnecessary. Town teams think Club teams are unnecessary. Club teams thing NPL teams are unnecessary. NPL teams think DA teams are unnecessary. Too many people look at someone else and thinks what they are doing isn't necessary.

Nobody defines what necessary is. Just that THEY feel that something isn't worthwhile, and for many, they are insecure in your decision. So, they try to bring people back to their level so they don't need to make any decision. It's made for them.

    It's chickenshlt way to live.

How anyone could possibly care what team and league someone else is on is beyond comprehension to me.

It's not about caring what team someone else is on. It's also not about whether certain levels are "necessary" either. It's about pointing out that a club is screwing over the parents and their kids. It's blatantly obvious here. This happens all the time, and lots of people care about it. Usually the ones that "don't care" about it are the ones with the vested interest and can't accept the fact that they are getting swindled.

But, again, why do you care? Do you think parents need you to look out for their best interests. Do you see them in a Pinto, pull over, and say "hey, that thing's going to explode on impact?". Do you see someone buying a pair of Nike boots and say "your kid's foot is too wide for those"? Do you see someone driving a big-ass SUV and say "you could be getting better gas mileage"?

Why don't you mind your own fvckin' business and worry about your own family?

In the end...opinions are like azzholes. And, mind your own.

This is a message board where people post opinions on topics that supposedly "aren't their business". That's literally the entire function of this website. Don't like it? Too bad. You can always go find a safe space where you can be sheltered from all the bad words.

Sounds like maybe a forum on the internet isn't for you. They basically exist to exchange opinions. You need a thicker skin if you're going to cry every time someone points out that your SUSC is lying to everyone about their kid's talent.

Aaah, I got it. It's a place to pontificate how great you are, and how those who don't follow your views are not.

I didn't realize that. I thought it was an informative board where people can get information.

              Not a dlck-measuring contest.

                oooh, got it now.

It's an SUSC axe-to-grind then? Do you get wood by trashing kids?

No, it's a place where insecure people can come on anonymously and let voice their fears without anyone knowing it. Like a form of therapy, but it's cheaper than professional help and it still makes them feel better.

Have faith in yourself that you made the right decision. You really don't need to try to justify your choice here on TS by posting all that you see wrong with families that chose the opposite, because it was right for their daughters. It just makes it sound like you feel a little bitter that either your daughter is missing out on something, or more likely, that some good players were taken off of her team to play DA, thereby affecting her chances of being "seen" by college recruiters since her team won't be as strong as you were expecting before the Seacoast GDA announcement came along. Enjoy your choice, let others enjoy theirs.
We are not a Seacoast family.

If you are going to call someone out for their "anonymity" then at least don't be a hypocrite and post anonymously…. really-

Stop trolling the anonymous nature of the post. If you want to go after someone for their anonymity, then have the conviction to step up and post under a name...

I didn't call anyone out for being anonymous. You replied to a different post.

I'm trolling why some families feel the need to try to bring others down for something that doesn't relate to them. Tryout, don't tryout; join, don't join. It's all good. No need to try to trash the kids who do want to.

Then this is really odd then. If you are one who was posting about all the ills with the program, and you aren't even part of the club, then this has zero negative affect on your life. At the absolute bare minimum, it can only be a positive if it increases visibility in NH Soccer overall. Not saying that is the case, but other than no effect at all, this would be the only possible consideration.

                            So, again, why bother?

Sad state of youth soccer we're in. That's what drives the insanity. Families are trying to figure out the best place for their kids, clubs are all trying to make money, leagues trying to prove their supremacy. Since it's an anonymous forum there's lots of keyboard warriors, as well as opportunities push club/league agendas.

Net/net = it's mostly entertainment with a few bits of useful information. I don't take it too seriously.

All true. So, why do people need to justify their choices by belittling others?
