I realize that there are a couple of other threads out there on Girls HS soccer, but the threads have gotten way too long and there is a lot of garbage in them. Curious if people have predictions/thought on which Div. 1 schools will do well in the playoffs. There are few teams that I thought would be strong this year (OA and last years champs NN) that aren't showing as well as expected and other teams (AB) that seem to be stronger than expected.

D1 - South
Needham
Franklin
Walpole
Weymouth
Natick
Whitman Hanson
Marshfield
King Phillip
Not sure who else is D1 South but it will come down to Needham vs Franklin unless these two teams have some major injuries. Walpole and Weymouth are my other semifinalist in the south. Both have dangerous strikers that can change a game if allowed.

What happened to Newton North this year? I thought they would at least be in the hunt. Good coach. Did they lose a lot of starters?

South Only D1
You heard it hear 1st: no particular order and their weak spots.
Bishop Feehan=weakness in schedule
Franklin= weakness plays to conservative for talent
Needham=defensive breakdowns and big game syndrome
and someone else for south semis:
Last spot will come down to the luck of seeding, teams lucky enough to avoid these 3 in the round of 8, they are all tough to beat at home. Something to look for who is playing their best soccer last 2 weeks of Oct. and injuries(North Attleboro would have been a contender until their best player season ending knee injury).
3 to watch WH,Walpole and Marshfield
The old guy
