When la peaked last year they tied and outplayed bershire, but without critical starters including sh the new cm and cb along with a lot of lost seniors it was a different game this year. If those 3 starters played I am sure it would have been close. However Milton this year isn't on the same level la was at last year. With 5 players now playing college soccer along with ak mt mb and sh they were among the best high schools in the country with multiple d1 players. La received national level attention last year with hundreds of college coaches at several games. Milton hasn't reached that level yet. They don't even have 1 d1 player. Yes they are good in a weak Isl this year, but have no chance against bershire.

Does a Milton player need to commit to a d1 school before you will admit that they are a strong team?? C'mon it's a team sport not individual recognitions.

Why talk about last year. There are three very good teams at the top fighting for title this year and Rivers could be dangerous for both Lawrence and or Nobles. Rivers is overdue to play a solid game. Maybe it will happen against LA Wednesday. MX BH SG. You never know.

Yeah, remember when the red sox were so good last year? That was awesome. No way the Royals or the Giants are on the same level this year. That's why this year's World Series doesn't count as much.

              Predictions for the weekend

              LA 3 - Nobles 2
              Rivers 4 - SM 1
              Milton 2 - BH 0
              St. Gs 1 - St Sebs 2
              BB&N 2 - RL 2
              Groton 2 - St. Pauls 1
              Middlesex 2 - Thayer 2
              Governors 2 - Brooks 1

I'm thinking a few upsets this weekend might be on tap.

We are talking about a program not a 1 year. Milton hasn't produced anyone. Milton who?

Not bad predictions. I think MX beats Thayer and BBN beats RL. Maybe a tie with Nobles and LA. LA defense is vulnerable and Nobles defense has been strong. Don't think LA will score more than 2.

Middlesex by at least 2 over Thayer. Brooks over Govs by 1. Milton and BH tie - opening the door for LA to win out and take the championship.

MX was a good D, and Milton racked up four.
BH can't score against good teams.
                            Milton 3 BH 0

Nobles untested against top teams, but LA not as strong as last year...most interesting contest.
                            LA 2 Nobles 2

Rivers may not be quite top shelf, but SM has tanked against every good opponent
                            Rivers 4 - SM 1

                            St. Gs 2 - St Sebs 1

Well, according to the Nobles Twitter account....LA is up 3-0 early in the second half...so perhaps the weakness of Nobles early schedule is coming to roost

Yep. Weak early schedule like they have every year. So if MA wins out..which is very possible..then it will be MA followed by LA. A slip by MA and LA can sneak by them. LA still has to beat Rivers too.
