It just seems like ratings are not at all consistent, and that is likely what the string was about. This TDS site is good for news...they go over the line when they try to rate players without real criteria, or highlight players as the best of an event, when they only see a portion of the players out there without stating that fact and the games they observed. I think they would build their own integrity for the future if they would do this.
Doubt there's much financial benefit in doing so. It would take too many people to create a legit and useful system. Plus there are plenty of outstanding players out there that might not on the radar just because they don't play DA or ECNL.

Just saw this 2017 recruiting class announcement, and guess college coach must think TDS ranking is something...don't see the "star ratings" mentioned.

And what is that "yanks" rating site...let's check it out.

It looks like TDS has gone into a whole new world of confusing star rating. There is no logic to having someone rated a three star ranked below a two star. Simple... Move up those ranked higher and save the world! Ok, at least save themselves from being the laugh of the town.

As long as college coaches continue to publish TDS rankings and ratings in their player profiles they are going to continue to get away with a erratic system for rating players. They don't even publish anything specific that leads to a rating...like national team, USSDA starter, ECNL starter etc.

Do you want to know which parents post here? Just look at the kids with star ratings on TD.
