Clubs were dropping GDA in NorCal - Thorns trying to salvage the network in this part of the country.

Yeah. Having Brandi Chastain as one of the NorCal Thorns FC coaches is really bad. Really, really bad.

Is this why tryouts are held at Santa Clara U? So little interest that there are only 3 tryout dates and 5 call back dates.

Clubs have in fact passed on GDA in northern California.

If not for Thorns/Reign, not sure there would be a conference in the NW.

So? Some have passed while others remain.

Thorns (OR/norCal/ID), Reign, San Jose Earthquakes, La Morinda, PSV Union

Still plenty of competition and a college planning component.

La Morinda's Class of 2017 signed NLIs to schools including Cal Berkeley, U Penn, NYU, Rice, Whitman. PSVU signings include UCLA, Claremont, RRiverside, Colorado, and Oregon.

              Everyone will be fine.

Pointing out that GDA has had some struggles getting tracking in the NW is not a false statement nor is it particularly inflammatory one.

Compared to the non-stop dung throwing that has come from some alliance coaches towards FC's and Crossfire's ECNL programs, it is quite mild.

Really? Which coaches. Haven't head it from our DOC or HC.

I've seen more stuff tossed back and forth on this foum between FC and Crossfire, plus attacks on GPS and GDA. Sorry to hear that you take issue with some alliance coaches.

The ECNL also had it's issues in the beginning. I've never come on this site and criticized anyone's choice of where they choose to play. I do get tired of all the trash talk and fear.-mongering.

Let the players play. Finally there are plenty of options and opportunities for girls.

That's too bad. If they let kids do high school they'd do a lot better.
