I'm thrilled with the variety of competition in our age group. Should be a great experience for our kids. As was said earlier... Not every tournament or league is right for every team. This one actually happens to be even better than what we were hoping.

I did a little research inspired by what some of you have already offered up.
Coaches listed to attend
- FC Cup - 50+ (23 are Div I or II)
- Weston - 18 (6 are Div I or II)
- OC Invite - Don't see any listed. I'm sure this is just an oversight
* There are five coaches that FC and Weston have in common *
Applied teams
- FC Cup - no full list that I can find
- Weston - 12 in my kid's age group
- OC - 14 in my kid's age group
* At each Weston and OC, half the applied teams are ranked outside the top 60, with a handful outside the top 100. *
* Weston has seven teams that we have either played recently or will play soon. *
*** Using the stay and play hotel locations there are no rooms left within 40 miles of the playing fields at FC Cup. <Sounds pretty busy> ***
It may be new and somewhat unknown but it sure seems to be doing just fine.

This complex is by no means built to accommodate a tournament like this........

Looking forward to another amazing Weston Cup in 2017. Our tournament just keeps getting stronger and stronger every year. Please note that even though the early registration deadline of Monday, January 9 has passed. Online registration remains open as we organize the divisions and flights. Teams will incur a $50.00 late registration fee. Teams will be accepted on a wait list basis depending on the specific age division and flight.

Whew, that's some tough competition traveling in for this "showcase", I'm SURE the college coaches are impressed with that. Three teams in total are in the top 100 teams. Unless they put all three in one showcase (and then they have to add a scrub team in the mid-200's to round it out), it will be a blowout. What college coach wants to see good players against weak competition-that shows them nothing.

The Girl's side looks like good competition. What are the fields like at Swan Lake Park?
