Okay, Salem dad. Thorns academy parent touting his kid being high school player of the year while touting the fact that she plays for an organization that believes players shouldn't play high school soccer at all. Makes perfect sense. PS if you want to impress us have her play 6A. But as usual you keep her in the small pond instead of allowing her to play with the big dogs.

Had a few quality wins over washT greens and tied some alliance teams. Not a great showing but still relatively impressive. It's been downhill ever since.

      Crazy isn't it?
      .
You point is? FC Portland ECNL 2001 is still probably a top ten team in Oregon. They have good skill but don't have the athleticism that they need at this point. At the college level you you to be fast and strong.

But, it is always nice to see any team from Oregon get some respect outside of the state because it doesn't happen very often. Enjoy it while it lasts.
4th place in OYSA for FCP ECNL 2001 isn't much of a success. The goal is to be better than that.

The other 5A co-player of the year, was her Thorns Academy teammate that used to play for Eastside. The younger Thorns Academy team is doing quite well.

Thanks, Gresham mom. The irony of parents bragging about high school awards while playing for an organization that (depending on the day of the week) discourages or forbids high school play is apparently lost on you. PS if you want to impress us have your goon play in 6A with the rest of the big dogs.

Nobody brags about being the 5A player of the year when all of the big dogs play 6A. On top of that, are you really bragging about high school soccer? Most of the top club teams are barely watchable. High school soccer is like watching a marching band at halftime of a football game. The only people who watch are the parents of the kids in the band.

Sorry but being good at 5A girls soccer is like getting a C+ on a PE class in middle school.

Come on. Not even a community college signing?

No seniors on roster, therefore no signing.

                            PE class is hard.

                              Nothing wrong with community college.

So what thorns didn't get any kids in college. Is that what this is all about? Really? Shouldn't club soccer be about having fun and making friends? Parents get too worked up about college soccer. Let me tell you college soccer isn't that exciting. 60% of kids drop out of soccer in first two years. Can't we just be supportive of kids enjoying themselves?
