    Let the kibitzing begin!
Does East Meadow send any teams to this? Seems not.

    Am I missing something?

ECNL has many showcases. No club will attend every showcase. They pick and choose.

        In search of soccer expertise.

The new GDA has this rule:

        Rules of Competition
        • Substitution rules: no re-entry; seven substitutions across three “opportunities” for U-14/15; five substitutions across three “opportunities” for U-16/17 and U-18/19

What do they mean by "opportunity"? Why is that word in quotes? Are these "opportunities" predetermined times or they up to the discretion of the coach?

Any thought on what that looks like for the roster involved. Do 18 players play in these GDA games at the younger ages and then 16 at the older ages?

I'm sure it's any time at coaches discretion. This substation rule is another reason ECNL may be a better choice. Playing time for some in DA will be limited and they are already scheduled to play less games than ECNL.

I'm guessing that means that the coach can only call for substitutions three times in the game, but can do multiple players during each substitution up to the total number of players you listed.

Has NYCFC or NY Fury told anyone what the cost for the GDA will be for the season?

No it's number of players. So yes some players will not get PT at the older ages

Not really very significant in the northeast anyway. All these ECNL clubs already compete against each other at U13 in a competitive U13 league.

all i read are things like visibility, College coaches , competitive etc...Not read many posts about the opportunities GDA vs ECNL offer to actually improve a players game.

The only difference what site you will find the schedule on.

^^^^^ it's also pre-emptive for GDA. At some point GDA will move down to U12 but now ECNL clubs can lock in girls even earlier

Is that true of all ECNL leagues? Or just Northeast Girls?

Not every club in country had pre ECNL which aren't officially part of ECNL. This formalizes that and pushes pre ECNL to 12

As earlier poster this locks players into ECNL earlier. No different than USSF going to boys DAP at 12 and 13

GDA added a new club yesterday in Sacramento. Maybe a few more to follow?
