This year is a fiasco with the GDA.

DA doesn't start until August 1. Post state championships are in June and July. Committing to DA will not preclude players finishing out their seasons. ODP is in July and anyone committing to DA will still be able to go to Alabama.

Alabama yes, but not region pool as that bleeds into August.

It depends on how you look at it. My son had a great experience in Alabama. He played a different position that he has never played, was selected for the top Florida team, played against some very good state teams and the outstanding Mexican side. He gained a ton of confidence which catapulted him onto his DA team were he is now a starter. Add to all that he met many of the top players in the State that he now goes up to after competitions and chats with. It was worth every bit of money and time to us, but I am sure not everybody's experience will be the same.

"Current" for about 3 more weeks. Then shortly after May 1st they will post the new list for the 2017-2018 "cycle" or season. With 2 training weekends in June.
