    A few years back now and for dumb basketball and football players. Kevin Olie was just busted and fired for recruiting violations and the women's team/old coach is being sued. They're hardly angels either. CT doesn't produce many soccer players good enough for UNC, men's or women's. Talking about academics only. The area is a great place to go to school, great weather, tons to do.

      It's not even close how people view UCONN vs UVA or UNC-CH. Even people in the northeast would choose the two southern schools over UCONN.
      No one woudl seriously argue UCONN > UNC for academic reputation. UNC hands down.

        I would take unc at 9k tuition over Uconn at 14k all day every day. Cheaper, Better academics, better location, better sports, well, just plain better at everything.
