NEW GK STAFF, CLUB COACHES AND COLLEGE LIAISON ADDED TO EXPERIENCED SLATE
(February 1st, 2018:) Orlando, FL; GPS Orlando is delighted to announce new additions to the club coaching staff for the 2018 season.
Stacey Kuhr and Will Arroyo have been appointed as goalkeeping coaches to enhance the GK specific training provided by the club. Kuhr and Arroyo will lead the girls and boys GK’s programs respectively.
Kuhr comes from an extensive soccer background and has worked with programs such Monteverde Academy, whilst holding the NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeping Award.
Arroyo currently coaches at the Florida Tropics who are the major indoor league franchise based in Lakeland. He also holds the NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeping Award.
In addition, GPS Orlando has added several new coaches to the club’s Premier program.
Agustin Alzate will be work with the U14 and U18 boys and has come from New Jersey where he played and coached with several academies.
Jake Wiffen and Megan Hyte have joined GPS Orlando in full time roles and will provide office support in addition to coaching on the field. Wiffen, a graduate of West Texas A&M has experience coaching youth teams in England and the U.S. He will be working with the U12 and U18 Boys.
Hyte is the club’s tournament director and will be working with the 2006 girls program. Hailing from Washington State, she also played NCAA Division I soccer for the women’s program at Washington State Universit. She moved to Florida to complete her Master’s Degree and is now excited to be back in Orlando pursuing her coaching career.
On top of all the new additions to staff members, Keith Buckley, the Head coach of Rollins College Men’s soccer program, has came on board as the college liaison. Buckley will assist GPS players with the college process in addition to mentoring existing coaching staff within the club.
