No, on the boys side prep schools dominate. Not close. Of course they recruit internationally, so the comparison to public schools is not fair.

All state does not drive or dictate recruitment. However if the player was a baller and wanted to play in college they would already have been recruited or received legit offers to consider. Congrats to any kid getting all state and any other high level award. Politics aside they have had to put in the hard work and effort to be an impact player in HS. On any other platform other than HS colleges know who the legit players are who they consider recruiting.

Not much politics being recruited, have to a player or else they aren’t generally wasting a spot as a favor. Trying to win and not get fired.

That said, an all state award won't matter much to college coaches. They either see what they want on the field, or not.

Hmm....
5 State Titles for a team in last 10 years in both boys and girls soccer...
Hint: not an FCIAC school

given DA has had corner on market for boys talent for years, with girls what you see on field outside of HS soccer is what you get...be the star all you want in HS but not likely for most to get you far for college placement....given current strength of national pipelines of ECNL and DA it is rarity to find a player outside of either make it to a D1 school or soccer career beyond... debating girls HS all state awards and bragging on this site as OP suggested as a predictor of college placement is pointless...I know some of these teams who are loaded with all state players and same players could not cut it at D1, D2 or even D3 depending upon program...stay tuned it will be interesting to see the "lists" the elite clubs (you know who you are) come up with this year or next for their players placements.. real talent on girls side has already been picked up..all others just chasing at this stage so best to be realistic about the program as will be right for their skill and level of play
