Different poster but MA regs require neg test result TAKEN within 72 hours of dept.
Take test while down there on Fri or Sat and then quarantine in MA till Neg result comes back

Curious, and not a question about FL, but lets say you travel to NH, does anyone question the rationale of having to test and quarantine for traveling to a location that is closer than many parts of our own state, especially when that state (NH) has an infection rate that is consistently lower than ours?

I can go ski in a riskier town in Western MA, but I cannot go ski in a safer town in NH. Good rule!

It is dumb in that least other states have a 24 hours rule - again, probably no one is following it but they're trying to reduce overnight stays and get people to think twice about what is necessary vs unnecessary travel. With every state now considered "hot" there's nowhere you can go without having the rule apply

Totally agree. Only reason we did it for FL is because HS is connected to Board of Health, and HS knew she was in FL
