1 - Correct. Not in ECNL but bayside facing better competition than surf.

2 - Bayside is as diverse a club in New England and if what you say is correct parents have no issue with scholarships given to deserving players. The pay to play model has consistently been mentioned for the failures of the national team. Good for bayside expanding its player pool and growing the game.

I don't understand why parents stay with Baysidefc with no ECNL. The girls are there just to pay for all the inner city kids scholarships on the boys side.

At least at Surf the money is going towards development and not feeding coaches egos and pockets.

To me this doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Surf 07 and Bayside 07 have some good players, but which of the 3 MA ECNL teams would a merged Surf + Bayside 07 be comparable to? And how many 07 ECNL girls do you know of from RI? If they all came back, would that be enough to make half a team?

The best players in RI are not doing ODP. So there is no uniting. We need an elite situation where we can grab the too players from each team to travel outside of RI.

Bayside has U12 RDL. U13 & U14 MLS Next. Those are the highest levels for boys. No other club in RI has this level. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up with MLS Next at the older age groups in the next couple of years.

That won’t be happening. The reason these younger age groups are in all of New England is to limit travel for those age groups in the league, that stops at u15 as weaker players should we weeded out. Massachusetts clubs with stronger teams than Bayside will not even be getting in.

That’s the problem JF is clueless and doesn’t have the capacity to decently run a club. He was the main problem for GPS and will continue to be the problem wherever he works. How is it possible you charge families crazy amounts and not have a facility for your club. Other clubs in RI have they’re own field except for GPS/Surf he’s very disorganized. Then again RI doesn’t have a lot of options with all respect to the coaches and clubs because I was once a player for some of RI’s clubs it’s the reality of it you only have a hand full of options and gotta do what’s best for you kid.

This is false. Name one club in RI that owns their own facility. Zero. There are clubs that have agreements with third parties to use their space, but there is not a club in RI that owns a complex.

As for prices, anybody who has ever dealt with finances of a club can tell you a large portion of tuition goes toward rental space. That goes with every club. Just saying...
