2 "B" teams? Lol. However, they spin it in their "groupings", it will come down to an A, B, C, etc teams... If they want to call them both B teams - in order to fool some of those C team parents / players... That's fine.. But hopefully most will see through the nonsense.

Agree. Any parent that thinks there are two B teams has a kid on the C team.

Sadly this is true. There is no other rational explanation for the current Bolts non-DAP teams. "If you build it, some will chase it"

I was having a difficult time finding anything positive about the creation of u12 DAP teams, but this post highlights one: DL's kids will chase the dream with a DAP team and Valeo will fade back into obscurity. This can't happen fast enough.

Please stop it. Nobody believes this hype. If the Bolts cared about youth dev they wouldn't have let the their younger teams become the laughing stock of MA boys soccer. "Sign up now or you boy will miss out!" will compensate for years of neglect? Uh, no. This only makes Bolts look even more desperate and pathetic.

It's not hype . They have a monopoly (dap) and for better or worse, this move by us soccer only helps dap clubs cast an exponentially bigger net in the quest for the best players

What was the bolts 2002 pre acad record?
There are soccer towns in MA ? Which ones?

99% of players who have paid multiple times into the RDS are middle of the pack players and the Revs know that. On the other hand, if you get called into an RTC, well then you have been identified as a potential academy player and your chances are significantly increased of being offered a spot. Bolts and Seacoast will gobble up the Revs rejects and will ask the parents to pay. It has been that way ever since the MLS Academy youth system was created. MLS Academies then everything else, a distant second.

Exponentially? Haha!!! The "best players" aren't going anywhere near the Bolts. Why would a parent of a talented player bring their kid to a third-rate team with mediocre players and coaches and an inferior youth system? What's interesting is that even the Bolt hacks don't even bother to make claims that their development will improve because it won't. The younger teams fund DAP and they won't change.

Is this an indictment of the club for creating a product or of the parents for having a lot of disposable income and poor genetics?

People have not come in droves when other steps like this have been taken in recent years, and there doesn't seem to be a reason for this step to bring more droves. People with interest will check it out, but it's always been the case that some segment is in the mode of checking out a possible new situation.

For this to be true, we would have seen huge effects when the DAP clubs added their other age groups, started pre-academy league, banned playing HS, added u14 DAP, etc. Yes, at each of those points some new players came, some old players left, which is part of the normal process. This looks like an incremental change.

DAP clubs have non-DAP teams to meet demand. In this way, like any club, there's nothing wrong with offering this soccer experience to as many people who want it. We all realize that some people disagree that a club should ever have more than one team per age group, but so be it. The additional reason for DAP clubs to have these additional teams is to absorb cost of the DAP teams, which US Soccer wants to be free to the players.
