Why’d the coach leave? What happens to the incoming recruits?

Heard lots of their players liked illegal substances, so MS was forced into a sabbatical last year and, apparently, now it is is permanent.

Don't these same questions get asked every time a coach leaves a school? Granted, leaving varies, Iona's coach left midseason, for example, so that was maybe disciplinary, and Trinity had a winning record, so probably took a better job.

As for recruits, we all know that can go one of two ways: anything in writing is honored, anything verbal might or might not be honored. Also, incoming players were selected for a reason, and that reason might not match the new coach's style, so anticipated playing time might suffer or there might be a transfer out or two in a year.

      So, that's about it. YW.

Trinity typically has a big roster and it's D3 so you aren't dealing with $$

If they helped a few get in through admissions that work is already done. 2020 and younger wouldn't be impacted as these schools don't make moves without SATs.

If players chose because of the school (as they should) they'll be fine no matter the outcome. If they chose because of soccer well there's always a risk when a new coach comes in. Since there's no $ attached he or she is free to cut whomever they like. They probably wouldn't now because there' no time to recruit for 2019 class, but after the 2019 fall season look for changes

Mike is a great guy, but after 22 years of service, he got railroaded by a parent who is a lawyer and the new kid on the block AD (been there a year) who did not stand behind Mike. Coward administrator. Mike wanted to discipline a player until daddy lawyer stepped in. Mike was trying to do the right thing.

                Allegedly. Or, none of that.

Well done Trinity and your d000uche Drew the athletic director. This past fall two kids in their early 20's ran the team. makes this alumni super thrilled. New clown AD has a lot to learn

Lawsuit threats...how many times have schools seen that happen?

Congrats, this is the dumbest post on TS in a while.

First off, Trinity did not have a winning record. 2-6-2 in the league and 5-7-3 overall.

D3, NESCAC. There is nothing in writing from a soccer perspective. If you were ED and coach helped you, you are still in, they don't pull your admission. There is no money to pull either. Technically, you aren't even on the team until you make the team in the Fall of next year. That said, if the coach wanted you, she wanted you for a reason and you make the team.
Next...anticipated playing time? As a freshman at a NESCAC school and most colleges for that matter, there is no anticipated playing time. No one is promised anything. If your little Mia thinks your kid is going to start because the coach said she liked her when she was being "recruited", then you are an idiot. Coach says she likes everyone she helps, whether that be financially or academically.

Why doesn’t Mike S sue the school for letting him go over a major drug related issue that the school covered up? He did the right thing. The school and her father are setting her up for failure. Get in trouble, ALOT of trouble and don’t worry daddy will cover it up with his $$$

drugs/alcholo go hand in hand with youth teen soccer. at my hs the boys soccer team was notorious for being bigtime users. Big time team too, state championship quality.

Far too many high schools and parents have their heads in the sand. Parents threaten lawsuits, kids get a wrist slap, stay on teams, keep their captaincies. It then follows the kids to college and later in life.

Parents it all the time. Buy your kids way out rather than let them face the consequences.
