You will absolutely turn your kids off if you are shoving the college thing down their throat any earlier. I remember playing u9 for my kids in a tournament and hearing crossfire parents talking about their u9 kids college crap already. It’s disgusting. Just support your kids in their passions and help them succeed without being the one that’s pushing them constantly to be better. And if they want the extra training or classes than it needs to come from them. And for god sakes stop living your unfulfilled dreams through your kids.
Is it really too young? UNC verbally committed an 11 yr old! Then, she gave up UNC or ever playing in college at 13 so Nike could put her in a commercial and pay her $ for a media contract. Now shes moving to Portland to play with “a Portland Thorns Development Academy team”. The last bit makes no sense because no one moves from Socal to play for a Thorns Academy team! Regardless, if her father hadn’t been selling his kid out to the highest bidder since she was 6, this never would’ve happened so u9 is not too young to start the insanity. In fact, if you don’t do it for your player they’ll be left behind by all the other players whose parents love them enough to buy them a Nike media contract.

Hey mom! Your mouth breather son has escaped
from the basement again. Next time, keep him away
from the keyboard. I see you read it as playing
soccer in college and soccer scholarship.

No, smart guy. 93% of our kids will not
play soccer at any level in college. Out of
that 7% who do play, most will not get
      any fractional athletic scholarship.
You must work for Microsoft to be that dense.
Hence, college is the goal and hopefully,
an academic scholarship if possible for
most of us. Yes, even your little Mia.

If you actually scored higher than a 400 on
your SAT verbal, you would recognize that
it was a dig at Crossfire, idiotic parents,
and US Soccer with their bs.
A bad man must have hurt you to be so
sensitive about youth soccer. Show me
      where on this doll.

You really shouldn't skip your meds. Remember what the nice doctor in the white jacket told you last time? Remember how happy you are when you take your pills?

Participation numbers are dramatically falling . Kill Rec , next to kill select where will the kids go to get a love of the game ?I have played at a much higher level then most of the coaches teaching your kids at the premier clubs , I can tell You kids do not love being drilled to death .... they want to play ! I have seen kids go to practise 4 times a week (much of it standing around like mannequins ) to play a 30 minutes of a game at the weekend . The system is weak to the core

The first sign of a serious problem is when your dad sets up your social media account and replies as you.

Sure the money seems to be there, but the kid is only 13 years old. Who knows if she will be the next superstar, but she definitely will not be able to play college soccer.

What is the point of committing at 11? If you don't pan out at 16 then the coach just doesn't honor his offer or gives you just enough to buy books. It is cool for dad to post on your social media account though.

                  Todd Marinovich dad.

Nike & Portland Thorns telling all the youth that to make your dream come true you must have wealthy parents who have bought you all advantages as well as a media presence. All this does is make women’s soccer even more exclusive. Only the very wealthy need dream in US soccer world.

Is Crossfire ECNL getting two teams?

Privilege comes in all Colors and creeds . Look at crossfires first teams at the younger ages ! Asian Asian and more Asian! They fit the drilled to death model . Will crossfire get another team ? If they get enough idiotic parents to pay for it then yes

Well the cost at crossifre ecnl is the same as playing in the rcl club fee wise. But crossfire pays for all traveling expenses in the ecnl. So its actually cheaper than other clubs currently. Have heard a few clubs locally might be getting to ecnl teams each. Hope it's not true. Seattle United ecnl is struggling this year. Maybe one age group is doing ok but that's it. Numerous rcl division 1 teams are stronger. Also heard now that eugene left pac nw and headed to sound fc (surf) that his connections might get them ecnl as well. They dont have the talent for ecnl but that's not stopping anyone it seems.

I doubt it very much if Sound FC
gets an ECNL anytime soon. Girl side has collapsed at Surf.
If Surf and Snohomish combined for ECNL, there might be a chance.
I can see Eastside getting one if they drop Reign support.
If your dd has the talent, then this is going to be very
                            interesting tryouts during the spring.

I see lots of movement. Come on clubs. Push out the crappy
tired coaches and bring in some new blood. Parents are
going to vote with their feet this year.

The new Valor Soccer Club(Maple Valley & Kent United) are promoting DA & ECNL in the near future to attract players. Stating they are the new fastest growing club with the best coaches and development path.

Valor will never get da or Ecnl. PAC nw controls that area and would do everything in their power to not let that happen.
