    Timbers Fail at All Levels

MLS, NWSL, USSDA, Alliance, Thorns Academy, ODP, it just goes on and on. The level of ineptitude and incompetence is simply amazing.

Are you really, just now, coming to that conclusion?

Not the sharpest tool in the shed, are you my friend.

Captain Obvious wants to meet with you for coffee, so you can all get up to speed.

Well they are good at making money and consolidating control of soccer in this state.

Been saying it for years. Just seems that 2016 has been a new low for the Timbers all around, which seemed impossible...

In comparison to a championship season, I suppose. And Adi will probably be gone by the time MLS starts next year.

But them's the breaks in soccer's minor leagues (which is what Major League Soccer is). Win and your top talent get scooped up.

I think they are spread very thin - doing business in Oregon, Idaho, and New Mexico.

Were you saying it last year too, or were you a "superfan" while celebrating the championship?

Sounds like Duck fan. Jumping off the bandwagon left and right. Only difference is the Ducks never won a National Championship.

Until a new champion is crowned, the Timbers are still MLS Cup Champs! So suck it naysayers.

By "championship", I'm assuming you mean the MLS League Cup. They certainly haven't won the important championships: Champion's League, US Open Cup, MLS Shield.

What championship did they win last year? The season ending MLS league cup? That's hardly a "championship". Actually, it's about 4th or 5th in importance in North America.

Anyone who thinks the MLS Shield is more important than the MLS Cup is very stupid. There is not a single MLS team that would prefer the shield over the cup. That's like saying the Golden State Warriors preferred having the best regular season record over winning the NBA championship like Cleveland did. Duh.

Simply not true. The Shield says that you were the best team over a 34 game schedule playing every other team. The Cup is a stupid league tourney placed at the end of the season when everybody just wants to be done with soccer. NOBODY cares about the League cup (as evidenced yesterday by the Timbers lackluster display).

                          In order of importance:

                          CCL
                          MLS Cup.
                          Supporters Shield
                          Open Cup.

Nobody remembers or cares who wins the supporters shield. All the players want to win the championship MLS Cup. Nobody puts a star on their jerseys for winning the shield.

I think you should all continue to argue about which championship is "better," and ignore the fact that Timbers have created a monopoly in youth soccer that will destroy quality, increase costs, and hurt every young player for the next 20 years.
