    It's been disappointing for years.

Appreciate the intelligent post. The kids get themselves to college.

        Simply false

This is published by CU and FCP. You wanna know Why? They are proud of their success and it's a marketing tool. You wanna know why TA clubs don't publish a List? Because they don't have one. I am a little tired of seeing good families being taken advantage of by the TA propoganda.

My daughter was successful with this because her coach and doc worked hard to help her with college coaches. I suggest parents in the process of helping their child make the correct choices do some homework and select a club with a proven track record.

Full support of the Timbers organization . . . that is a good one!!!!

Worst boys academy in the MLS, but hey, the 18s only lost by 6 to Sacramento Republic last weekend.

Yes, but let's not be disingenuous. You can have a kid who trains hard and at the highest level possible. She can have straight A's and a laundry list of high school accomplishments. She can have the DESIRE to be seen by scouts or coaches. But if you can't get her to the events where those coaches go, it's all for naught. You can't play on a rec team or a low level team and get to events like Surf Cup or big showcase events where coaches go. So while yes, the club doesn't "put" the kid in college, they provide the opportunity for the kid to perform at the events where he or she needs to go to be seen.

Vancouver averages more than that. Bend, Salem, Eugene are all in the 4-8 range each per year. Westside is up and down each year. Sometimes a lot. Sometimes none. Eastside is not really on the radar.

Oregonians playing club soccer prior to local clubs signing up for US Club leagues like the OPL/ECNL had no trouble landing both boys and girls at Top d1 schools, D2, D3, NAIA and com col.
They were a little more prudent and wise with their travel dollars and weren't forced to travel just for the sake of travel.

Funny how history tells the whole truth, whereas making up stories about playing in a league that doesn't match our caliber of local player is the best route, akin to 'the rec team or low level team playing in the Surf cup or big showcase.' = Oregon local clubs playing in the ECNl.

                    Perfect.

The ECNL teams this year 2017 in Oregon Sent 34 kids onto play College soccer. Most of them D1.

Vancouver's GM is also the coach at Clark College so he gets several of his girls to play there every year. Other than that though, not many from WashT get college gigs.

34 more than the Timbers clubs.

Yep, same clubs that put all the kids in college now put all the kids in college back then too. Some things never change. And some things do - like the Timbers clubs racing each other to the bottom.

Ecnl provided more chances to be spotted by more colleges. Yes, it's the SoCal YNT types that go to UCLA, NC, etc. but there are many colleges of all levels across the country that need to fill teams.

And yet they never fill them with TA kids. Imagine that.
