It's falling apart in a lot of other states due to politics....Florida is heading down the same path for sure. Georgia's best players have all pretty much quit attending anything other than regional events. That really waters down the inter regional stuff. It was a good program 20 years ago. Now it's only a name...no real path to anything, except the atm.

Not sure why people criticize ODP for the cost. It is actually really cost-effective once you make the Region Pool. Through ODP, our daughter travelled to Europe for 10-days playing high level teams for a little bit more than 1 ECNL Showcase weekend (out of state) would have cost our family.

I think we paid $175 for 6 weekends of pool trying/tryouts and 2 games vs Georgia.
That's about about 40 hours of on the field training and playing.
Tell me again about how this is a money grab?

People here are in love with their ECNL & ECNLR discussions. They are hooked! Calling ODP money grabs shows how little they understand soccer. Hopefully they are saving equal amounts of how much they put into ECNL for college education.

Odp is definitely a money grab. Odp does not offer their players opportunity. Odp exists off the ego of clueless parents. Odp is basically an organize pick up games.

The evaluation weekends are exhaustive and a big commitment. Then after all that you make the team and see kids who never attended a single session. And believe you me, it�s not because they were a shoe in. Leaves a very bad taste in the mouth of families that traveled 3-4 weekends and spent the time and money.

You are absolutely correct. Florida premier has decapitated so many ecnl and GA teams. The fab 18 would be a better name. How about the dream crusher? What about, the reality pill? Heck, come up with a name you think is more fitting. One thing is for sure. The Florida Soccer community can not call them loser. We are better then 80% of the teams in florida.

And a quality team is 11 at a minimum and most likely 14-15.

Feb 1 dad here only ''fab 5'' bench is weak, looking to improve some spot .
