    Triangle United Dropping Girls Program

No more girls program for Triangle United. Wins are scarce, and numbers are hurting. They have had to resort to moving girls from team to team just to meet minumum roster levels at games. They are also using ringers as well. We have not confirmed some of this, but our sources inside the club have confirmed it.

What do you mean by ringer?....a player who isn't registered with the club?

Not true. They are moving their girls to the DPL and out of NCYSA which has become a challenge league. http://triangleunited.org/tu-joins-g...yer-academy-dp

So they joined a league where their nearest conference opponent (Tophat) is a six hour drive away and the rest are all in Florida - even farther away.

With the addition of ECRL, the top clubs in NC only have their third level teams in NCYSA, so it isn't as strong. But if your solution is to make your players and parents travel thousands of miles to play its not sustainable.

Soccer in the triangle area is crap. Go North or West

THOUGHTS ON THIS: Wake FC had same groupings for their GAL teams. It meant 1 trip to fla this year. We don’t yet know who else will be added to the DPL or if regions will remain as is. Lots of room for growth. NCYSA is has basically become a challenge league by removing a lot of teams to the ECRL. If your a challenge player than it might be a good move and your kid will get some growth. If your kid is a good player NCYSA will disappoint. DPL/GAL extremely competitive. If TUSA can make some adjustments and pull players in it could be a great Triangle addition especially if they fully merged with WFC imho.

The TUSA situation sounds like a sh*t show to me. The few talented players from the Chapel Hill area usually find their way to one of the ECNL/ECNL-RL teams at NCFC. That is a lot of money spent on travel just to play 3rd rate competition.

Will NCFC be dropping their women’s youth program? That’s what my sources inside the club are telling me. Since Cindy was constantly working with the Courage and a fixture on the bench with Riley should she be forced out of her positions with the club and national soccer federation? Seems that NCFC’s constant efforts to make youth soccer miserable for anyone that isn’t handing them cash might be catching up to them. What about other employees on staff that have been arrested for endangering the health of safety of youth soccer players? Clowns
