Are you still telling the city of Dunedin that you will have a Director of Coaching in place before the end of August 2014? Are you still telling Grizzi that you have all kinds of certified trainers lined up to work with the competitive teams at each practice. Maybe, you should call Vince and tell him, I lied, there is no DOC and there has been no additional training this year.

Any truth to the rumor that the DOC promised additional training and has not delivered on it? If so, I think that people should be on this forum every single day letting the world know about the lack of training until someone addresses this issue!

If you aren't detecting the sarcasm.....

We played a Dunedin team at the tournament this weekend, and no offense to the kids who were playing as hard as they could, but Sir Alex Ferguson could come out of retirement and work everyday with this team and it probably wouldn't make much of a difference. Come on people, it's youth soccer, get out of your kids' way so they can have some fun and get some exercise. If you're at Dunedin, you are not a coach away from being "at the next level". Stop being so angry and either live with your decision to play there, or move on to another club.

    Have a happy day!

Update....last night had another practice, guess what no additional training. The President of the club was on the next field over and never made an effort to address the issues of lying to the parents.

Jeff H above, hates being called out for lying to the parents.the club is falling apart under his leadership. No one will take the Director of Coaching position and he doesn't have funds to bring in the trainers that he promised for the competitive teams.

A little surprise that the U-15 boys are doing good without a trainer, even when they lost most of the best players.

Define doing good? They are not a good team.

Let's put this to rest for the rest of the season:

                          A. Dunedin will not be hiring a DOC anytime during this season, or for the future 2015-16 season. They don't have the funds available and they have had little to no interest for the position within the Tampa soccer community. Anyone with a lick of sense, would know that they are stepping into a civil war that will eventually bring the club down. Secondly, it is well known that the President JH, is a difficult guy to work with and wants to micromanage.

                          B. The promises by the President to have training above and beyond what competitive kids received in 2013-14 was simply a smoke screen in order to save a few of the competitive teams that remained. Again, the club has no funds available to bring in any trainers, the President is simply utilizing a delay tactic. I know for a fact that some of the Senior teams parents are upset and feel that they have been lied to by the President and openly wonder why he is not coming to them and explaining what is going on. The crap will hit the fan when the Juniors start up their season, parents are expecting to receive training from a DOC or trainers and they will be vocal about not getting any training.

                          C. Basically, the only competent person in the hierarchy of the Stirling Board of Directors is the VP of Recreation. He would probably be the best choice to lead the club, he has done an outstanding job of growing the recreational program and parents trust and like him.

                          D. The club is currently at a very bad crossroads, the current President has lost the trust of the parents due to failing to come through on his promises, as well as failing to make the club transparent as he had promised. On the other hand, a select few want to bring back the leadership that was in place last year at this time, but many of the remaining members don't want them due to the non-transparency, failing to handle funds properly, favoritism towards board members kids teams and very little effort being made to grow the club. It may be in the best interest of the club to start from scratch and get rid of the current president, but also barring the former corrupt members from holding any office.

                          E. The club has indeed hired Al Sousa as both a temp DOC as well as an adviser, which is a very strange move that was not well researched by the current leadership. If they had taken the time to research this hiring, they would of saw that Al had bungled his leadership at Largo, he had Largo in dire straights with poor leadership skills, absolutely the worst PR skills in the county.

                          F. I was told the club brought Sousa in to help them set themselves up for a merger with one of the larger clubs in the county. Unfortunately, I think Dunedin will have the same luck as Oldsmar, Celtic, Tarpon and Seminole, they simply are not an attractive merge partner due to their small competitive program and a fairly small rec program.

isnt al sousa as a temp DOC a conflict of interest with his responsibilities with his u17 and junior team at TBU? is this allowed by fysa? is he going to actually be training teams at dunedin, because his training is horrible when he is actually on the field at largo (tbu)

You are a total idiot. That team DOES train at Dunedin and the players AND coach all speak English. The coach is an incredibly dedicated and committed man, and their success is testimony to his leadership and the hard work of the boys. Only DA's like yourself could find a negative in a winning combination.

Again, what success are you referring to? I don't see it, they are in USA, they have no wins a good tournaments to speak of and they are now a coed team at U15. We played them last year at Region C and they were horrible.
