    International FC Oregon

Rumor is IFC will register teams or clubs that OYSA has not sanctioned. IFC registered some GPS teams two years ago.

    Can anyone confirm this?

It would seem registering these clubs though the IFC organization would go against the model.

This is why IFC was created. So kids can still play who cannot afford club fees at larger clubs.

      The fees

It looks like the fees at the new clubs that might register with IFC are in line with the established clubs if not more. Why would IFC go against their charter ?

If comparing to "larger clubs" then what are the fees charged to the players?

How much does this club pay out for field fees, ref fees, league and tournament fees, player registration, club registration, employee pay, liability insurance, equipment, uniforms, etc. for this club?

This is what OYSA suggests/approves for new clubs.

Where is this rumor coming from? OYSA has indicated they are scrutinizing heavily these type of arrangements.

No, OYSA is suggesting it/approving it. Have you spoken with OYSA about this?

In order to be transparent to move Oregon forward why not register your with this site so the questions asked have a bit more content
Furthermore, where is this information being stimulated from. In other words name your source as one individual has already stated OYSA has directed this...what is OYSA's gain?

A conference call about this happened yesterday. OYSA will not allow for profit clubs to play under a non profit entity. If a non profit tries then the non profit will lose its status in OYSA and will not be allowed to play in OYSA leagues.

So is ADF going away then?

So then its settled. Unless someone is stating the clubs potentially playing under IFC are "for profit." Not that it should matter as long as the club is focused on youth development.

What is being discussed isn't if a club is for profit registering under IFC but if the potential clubs registering under IFC meet the spirit of the IFC organization mission statement.

"Our mission statement is to promote the beautiful game of soccer to all teams and youth in the Portland Metro Area that cannot afford the cost of a traditional soccer club and wish to participate in OYSA*sanctioned tournaments and leagues."
