Is it because there are more women's programs needing to fill spots? More money out there than on the men's side? FOMO on the part of coaches, players and parents? As long as loopholes exist they will be utilized.
Life is full of pressure. Pressure from soccer? Seems like a manageable problem in the scheme of things. Stakes are pretty low.

Incorrect - Early offers were still allowed until May 1st 2019. As of May 1st 2019:

"an athletics department staff member shall not, directly or indirectly, provide an individual an oral offer (or indicate that an offer will or may be made) of athletically related financial aid, other institutional financial aid, admission to the institution or as a member of an intercollegiate team before August 1 at the beginning of the individual's junior year in high school."

Club coaches will now play a bigger role. "Individual" means player/student athlete. Loophole is orchestrating it through club coach and keeping it on the DL until August 1st.

I feel like it's bad news. Kids will become way too reliant on club coaches who may put their own/the club's best interest over the kid's. Colleges coaches are going to get in even deeper with big clubs in GDA and ECNL, too much risk trusting a one-off random team coach. Whole thing is BS

Agree completely. This may take a couple years for big issues to arise and become public, if not sooner. It will then spark change. Old way was definitely better for the athletes. This is going to cause major problems and even possible crimes. NCAA should know better.

Loophole is still there, just slightly altered. Early recruiting will slow down but it will still happen.

what you describe is 'indirectly" communicating ; "an athletics department staff member shall not, directly or indirectly..' If what you state does happen it will be a clear recruiting violation
