Apparently dad was no happy that mom took the daughter, left the other 3 kids behind and paid $6000 to smugglers so she could get the a piece of the "American Dream".

Fact: To date the US has detained 16000 children to date under the Trump administration.

Fact: In 2014 alone, 52000 children were detained under the Obama administration.

Not saying Trump is a good president or am I defending him but jeez, enough with the spin when the crap has been going for over a decade.

Many business sectors are having difficulty finding workers - construction, agriculture, basic services like janitorial work. the reality is we need a certain supply of laborers in this country for jobs that Americans don't want. A better system for temporary visas is badly needed. Many crossers are economic workers simply looking for work. Make it easier for them to get temporary visas for a few years. They have to report in, pay taxes and if they don't they are swiftly deported. Once their visa is up they go back and can re-apply. That would also include tougher laws for employers who hire illegals and actual enforcement. I agree that as long as employers think they can get away with it they will continue to hire illegals, which then only encourages more workers to get paid under the table

reality does not match the narratives believed by either right or left in this country. But under no circumstances does it justify separating families. Detain them together. Deport them together. Or keep them if court determines they are refugees. You only separate families if you believe its an "infestation" which is where the rhetoric is taking us. This is not a "left" perspective; it is the perspective of anyone that believes that although they may need to be deported, immigrants should not be treated like vermin or "infestations."

The 24 hour news cycle and multiple outlets and the internet doesn't help - they're so busy trying to keep up and have little time to verify and do actual journalism.
