How does an "Elite" team equate to a "Regional" team?

Elite is the most over-used term in youth soccer, followed by "pre-academy." It's a marketing label anyone can slap on to a team or club or league. Regional is pretty self explanatory. Regional teams > State teams but still doesn't guarantee quality.

The terms are unrelated. A team may be "named" one, or both, or neither.

Pre ECNL is the worst it means absolutely nothing
State means you play in state
                Regional means you play regionally
Academy means you play with yourselves

Pre-Academy means you're not good enough for academy but we'll string you along and take your check until we cut you at some future date

Sound got a few college commits and sends a few kids to CFCU each year

How are those FSA C teams coming along this spring? Talk about stringing.
