Originally posted by Unregistered View PostNYSC did not announce their GDA badge until well after tryout time had passed. So they lost players in the age groups who were looking to play DA (NYCFC) or ECNL (World Class). Some kids trusted the club and stuck around and are playing DA now. They could be doing better and probably will next year as they have the badge, expanded boys program and facility putting turf down soon.

As for mid-level NPL players that sums up OW in a nutshell. That's all OW got. Then there's the sh*tshow that is LISC.

Time will tell if they can get any players to return or new talent. Their new site makes it very attractive for lower FC kids.

Oakwood is above average in their DA division and have added teams that won or placed in top brackets at Jeff cup last weekend. These once similar clubs are headed in completely opposite directions.

What do you get? A low level DA club that will continue to bleed players to nycfc, WC, Cfc, etc. They may actually finish behind lisc or empire in some age groups!!!
