You people are basically saying that Ow and bs are 2nd tier clubs in the da right? Think about that for a second........For a tiny club from ct to be considered in the top 30-50 club’s in the country is amazing. Open your eyes people.
They are second tier in DA for a number of reasons described heretofore - it is an uphill battle for sure. The fact that they can remain "competitive" in the DA is an accomplishment.
No one is saying that they are not the best boys clubs in CT. They are.

and CT is a pimple on the azz of youth soccer. Yes well done OW. They have crap placements too. Even BS beats them there.

Demographics of FC have something to do with that

Why do you say that? Sounds a little bit like a cop out…

You’re the one who said it, why are you asking others to explain your own generalization? Please explain what you mean, as I can only guess. I think you’re assuming that since BS is in FC, and FC “has money”, they therefore have better college placements. You’re also assuming that the majority of college recruiting timeframe players at BS reside in FC and must have money right? Like the kids from Bridgeport and Norwalk right? Or how about the kids from West Haven? And I guess you’re saying that grades have nothing to do with college placement either correct? And you’re stating that the Glastonbury area is destitute and has dumb kids apparently too?

Does that sum up your generalization? Perhaps you should clarify because I’m not sure what your original statement meant.

It's a huge cop out and unfair to OW kids/families. I've never understood this as a OW cop out. Besides, there are plenty of schools with lower academic standards but that are still top soccer programs yet OW can't get their kids in their either. BS has plenty of lower income players on their squads. FC wealth usually comes from the kids with less talent but can pay bull fees and are willing to pony up for the non existent facility. New Canaan and Darien money keeps the club going.

While Oakwood is bragging about beating 16s 2-0, this 15 year played on the 18s and won 7-0. He just signed as a pro with the MLS side. Now that's a good weekend.
