A senior leader for BLM just gave an interview explaining that whites are at fault for poverty because society does not redistribute enough money from "rich" white people to minorities. They want to start with completely defunding the police and taking that money for themselves in direct payments, but they don't think that will be enough. They want redistribution on steroids. Well, if we do become socialist, please give me some advance warning. You are misinformed. The mask is as much for protecting other people who you might infect without even knowing it as it is for protecting you. Why is that so hard for some people to acknowledge. If refusing to wear one was only a risk to that person I couldn’t care less if you wear one. Your choice. Oh and your blood type MAY make the virus less severe for you if you get it but it will not prevent you from getting it in the first place.

Wow, do you ever have a chip on your shoulder. Every single person in this country has more opportunity than he or she would have in any other country on the planet. Loads of first generation Asians who came to this country with $20 in their pockets are running their own businesses within 10-20 years of getting here despite huge hardships and discrimination. Their children, for some some of whom English was a second language, and even though they attend grade school in low income communities, get into the best colleges in the country. That is because they study 80 hours a week, work hard, and have ambition. Tens of millions of immigrants overcame immense hardships in their lives and family histories and still succeeded. If you don't think there was tons of racial and ethnic discrimination against various groups - Chinese, Irish, Italians, Germans - over the last 150 years you have no idea what you are talking about. Of course, if we wanted to delve deeply into the past, lots of us could come up with tons of excuses for failure - like our ancestors were serfs on the manor for hundreds of years, we came from Europe where until 100 years ago if you were not born to nobility you had no hope at all in life, WWI or WWII destroyed everything the family ever had, we were captives in German concentration camps, etc., etc. The potential excuses are legion. What differentiates people is whether they wallow in their excuses and demand other people's stuff as supposed compensation or whether they get off their butts, take charge of their lives, and accomplish something. If someone invents a new product or service that is worth billions and markets it correctly, I guarantee that he/she can achieve immense success because the market place won't care if the inventor is white, blue, or orange. Any kid can go to the public library after school to use the free computer and internet to study any subject imaginable on Khan Academy. If they were taught there are no excuses, perhaps they would avail themselves of those kinds of opportunities, rather than skip school to hang on street corners, rip pages out of their textbooks, and deface school property.

I didn’t know that gang violence or murder was being discussed as ok. What is being asked for is that Police officers live up to our societal standards of justice and it starts with not treating every African American as a potential gang member because of the neighborhood they live in, are visiting or the color of their skin.

They may, but if I asked them to recite the goals of BLM, who funds BLM, or what is on BLM's website, they couldn't do it. So all that illustrates is the ignorance of the 65%. The same ignorance that pervades most answers to public opinion questions asked by pollsters. BLM organizers justified tearing down William Douglas' statue on the ground that Douglas advocated assimilation in American culture and that is supposedly bad. BLM does not want to fit in and succeed in our system. It wants to change America in fundamental ways, including adopting socialism, and then force others to fit in to that revised system. In other words, they claim to feel that they have been subjugated and their solution is to turn the tables and subjugate the former "oppressors."
