Coaches at most colleges only have so many spots they can push for with the admissions office. It you're not a top 1-4 pick for them then you need the grades to get in.
On another note, some big football programs are going to conference only games (to help limit travel exposure) and have said even those could be in jeopardy depending on what is happening in their states. Some D3 conferences have bailed including NESCAC which are all small NE schools where case numbers are good right now.
Hope for the best but be realistic that fall may not happen anywhere.

Sorry, but if you were told by an Ivy coach that it was "unfair" it was his nice way of telling you that your daughter was not good enough to displace a crazy great student, but that doesn't mean he won't be able to find another better athlete that is.
I am not the op but several posts were speculating that more academically qualified students be accepted in sports ~within the context that ivies cancelled ALL sports this fall~. Again, it's about the ivies and their merit only system in sports which is brought in some posts.

The money comes in from tuition, donations and hard work from the administration all the way down to the students.

Definitely not sports; in fact sports costs them money as it does at most schools that don't have big football or basketball programs. At best they might get a few televised games for football or basketball
