Glad most clubs fall under US Club in MA.

That doesn’t matter as Phase 3, step 1 for MA is not in effect yet for youth sports. It doesn’t matter who your club is affiliated with. Same rules apply to baseball, basketball, soccer, etc. Hopefully the state comes out with some guidelines over the next few days. Until they do, MA is still operating under Phase 2 guidelines.

Youth sports were not covered in the Phase 3, Step 1 details yesterday. As such, they have not moved from Step 2 yet. That may change over the next few days once guidelines have been finalized. Until such time, youth sports are effectively still in Phase 2.

Do the kids even wear a mask or if not wearing a mask stand 6 feet apart? I just can’t imagine that happening or being enforced.

Good thing it doesn’t affect kids.

You should read the state re-opening report. Youth sports can start on Monday with competition and increased numbers. There are no “steps” within Stage 3. Soccer is back.

Thank you. Too much wish-casting these days. Jumping the gun on a phase is a good way to assume personal liability if someone sues your organization for contracting COVID. Your insurance coverage doesn’t cover you if you are violating state or local protocols. Why not wait a few days until the protocols for Phase 3, Step 1 come out? Pau Torres

It’s not. And it can’t . I’m not happy about it, but that’s the way it is.

And based on the restrictions in the phase 3 step 1 for swimming pools, it’s not looking good for youth sports unfortunately.
