Why do liberals always resort reflexively to censorship?
Google, Facebook, Twitter selectively edit and deprioritize conservative viewpoints (Google adopted the slogan of the "Good Censor" after the 2016 election).
Liberal media, and the liberal commentators in the comments sections of their liberal stories are literally destroyed logically. This has been such a problem for liberals over the prior few years they recently have strong-armed Google to begin censoring these comments.
Of course, leftists around the globe employ censorship as a key tactic. In China, and the former USSR, it was so prevalent the citizens simply learned to self-censor, to avoid the consequences of uttering non-approved thoughts.
George Orwell wrote about it extensively. This is what "Cancel Culture" is all about - silencing the other side by threatening their business. And even here on TS we have posters doing everything they can to not debate, but shut the other side down by demanding that ideas they dont like be banished from being posted. One nut job in particular wants Breitbart to be banished from this forum (even stupidly, and dishonestly claiming to donate funds to Beijing Biden every time a Breitbart story is referenced).
In contrast, Conservatives have a much different approach. Free speech.
Why is this?
Because as history has clearly shown, Liberals are essentially wrong about everything, and cannot win in the arena of ideas. And conservatives want them to keep talking. We want you to talk, and talk often. Show us what you think. We'll then do the same. Let the better side win. You see, not only do we believe that free speech is moral, ethical and Constitutional, leading to freedom, wheras censored speech is authoritarian, immoral and leads to misery and oppression, but from a strictly practical viewpoint, we also believe that the more you people talk, write and think, the more rational people (which always, by natural genetic law, outnumber you) will recognize the defect in you thinking.
If left wingers were able to point to natural law or history to win debates against the right, and were therefore so confident in their ideas, things would be the opposite. They'd want conservatives to speak up so everyone could see how stupid they are. But we have the opposite. They are afraid of Conservative words. Because they can't deal with them.
You --- reading this --- if you are a left winger prone to Censorship --- heal thyself.
