Houston metro alone has the same population as the entire state of Mass. Try again.

Yet states and countries that have been consistently wearing masks have gotten their cases well under control. Non mask wearing ones not so much.

It's fine to be mad about covid and it's fine to suggest common sense solutions, even if they are unlikely to work. It isn't fine to pretend that the northeast has the right to lecture any place on the planet about covid.
MA and the rest of the NE got slammed at the start, partly because the lack of tests resulted in cases building without knowing. But the NE got it's act together and now is one of the few bright spots in the US. Other states had ample warning but chose to reopen quickly - too early according to health experts - nor did they plan for anything. Now hospitals are filling, PPEs are in short supply again, businesses are having to be closed again.

Or maybe this awful disease has to run its course through each population and there is not much anybody can do about it apart from keep infected people out of nursing homes.

What’s easier to accomplish keep at risk isolated or try to control everyone.

It’s becoming clear that the goal is not to prevent at risk populations from infection, but rather get the public gradually acclimated to centralized control over all aspects of life.

Wow, you nailed it. How many years did that take you? Started with Reagan, right? Or is it Donald? No worries. As long as you are white, Christian, preferably Southern Baptist, have a truck and a gun, love to make nooses, and have a red neck you are all good. Every freedom is your oyster.

Do you just sit at home and makeup fake scenarios in your head and convince yourself its real? I haven't seen a bunch of people wearing masks bumping into people and slobbering over people. We in MA are doing it right an do have the right to suggest to states who are failing a different way of doing things. The Texas/Florida way certainly wasn't the way to go was it?

And to cripple the country so that it can be made ready for "change." One would have to be blind and/or hopelessly naive to not see that there is a very highly coordinated and well funded effort underway attempting to drive us toward socialism.

50% of the jackasses bussed into my Metrowest town to "protest" via the yellow Yankee busses were not wearing coverings. I witnessed it firsthand.

The BLM protestors were the biggest violators, double standards and hypocrisy is creating a twilight zone feeling!! Oh, I'm sorry, I'm not allowed to utter that fact because it makes me a racist. ***
