Many of them were disappointed in the level of talent that they were told is the best but the games were god awful.
Us soccer is trying to make money off of leagues now and it's pretty scam like

They didn't like all the rules that USDA was requiring, in particular the prohibition from playing other sports.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostET have never truly committed to the DA program - there's just one coach spread across the 3 teams with virtually zero support and the DOC has never been to a game and went to training ONCE only because parents were pi$$ed after teams were getting trounced. ET's DA program could've worked if they had really got behind it and even coughed up for some scholarships to get talent in. ET is all about rec going forward as that's where the money is and that's what is going fund the new facility.

But seriously, why Timbers should have a say is rather ridiculous. But yes, Gavin and Merritt do a decent job cock blocking.

What club or clubs can emerge and become relevant from this mess...escaping their useless rhetoric/mantra.

No local club has demonstrated in the last 5 years they can compete in the watered down USYS regional or national level or even in the pay to play high priced US Club travel league for girls..errr showcases :)

Please, please don't continue to let the good players be scattered to all corners of Portland. No one cares about these clubs, and continuing to treat them like they're something they're not is slowing the growth of our best players. Consolidate into 1 or 2 DA teams, train, play older teams, and travel to WA once a month and CA twice a year.
Stop. Messing. Around.
