    Fixed it for you....

As a ECNL parent, I'd say on par is accurate since I am agreeing with my own previous post.

ECNL Regional Showcases may be the way to go. Put the Southeast ECNL Showcase in Florida right before the GDA Showcase in Florida for ease of college coaches scouting and only having to make one trip to Florida. Only play three games at a Showcase anyways, and can play the National Showcase events in the summer.

Both ECNL and DA look at their showcase dates as strategic. Maximizing college participation while making it as inconvenient as possible for the other league to be seen by said college coaches.

The girls winter ECNL and DA showcases are both in Florida so make sure they are back to back in Florida for the college coaches. College coaches knowing they would only have to make one trip to Florida might skip CASL, but would be ideal to have CASL, ECNL, and DA showcases before the D1 deal period but not sure that is possible.

No, what would be smart is to hold a major showcase during the women's final four each year. Good for the club players and better for the college players. Empty stadium when played without a major final four showcase. College coaches also like having a major showcase at the final four.

US Soccer could have hosted the GDA showcase during the women's final four in Orlando this year. But US Soccer does not care about women's college soccer.

Going by which college are going to the ECNL showcase or rather who isn't, it would seem many colleges saw what they needed at the Winter Showcase and have gone home.

Good try GDA dad. It's a few weeks out and the list ramps up as it gets closer to the event. Some coaches do it last minute, if at all. People were saying the same thing before the GDA event, and yet it all worked out didn't it?

So then maybe ECNL seizes on the opportunity. US soccer definitely doesn't care about college soccer, but they should. It's what 99.999999999% of their players care about.

US Soccer shouldn't care about college soccer. They need to focus on a way to develop players when they age out of the DA system. College soccer is ONLY about winning so the coach can keep their job....period. And it's not what 99.999999999% of players care about, it's 99.999999999% of what players parents care about.

When you have an organization whose goals are not in alignment with those of it's customers/participants, things rarely go well. At the heart of the issue is that USSF only cares about 200 or fewer players, but it has to involve thousands more to make it work.

Nice one. Why did over 10 D1 coaches attend our ECNL practice to scout out players on the first night of the GDA showcase? They said they were disappointed with the level of play at Winter Showcase.

The goal of US Soccer is to put the best players on the pitch. NOT look to make parents happy by getting MIA/Landon college scholarships. By the way, the average scholarship is $5000. I bet many parents are spending more than that every year.

Yeah, saw that thread by one poster who got very defensive when asked for detail but that didn't stop anyone else from running with it. Its all good though, hope all the players in both leagues got what they needed if not what they wanted.

Mia? The only Mia references I ever see on TS is when the poster is bashing DA. This is a logical and insightful post. What gives?
