There seems to be very good talent coming up in the U10 8v8 age group. Does anybody know anything about these teams?

I am not saying the ocy team does not have a nice resume, and they are the number two in the state, but what top Fl teams have they beat? They did not make it out of the first round of the regon B cup, and have only played one team in the top 20?

I know they have a boat load of points, but they have not beat anyone in the top 10, nor have they faced a lot of solid fl teams. A lot of the top teams play each other, but not ocys p 1....why?

Sometimes going on points or ranking can be misleading. Our team is ranked in the top twenty, but we have beaten teams several times this year that are ranked much higher than us. Sometimes there is a very dominate team in the region that wins all the tournaments, so the teams just under them never earn any points. This is why Disney is such a nice tournament. It gives us a chance to play teams from other areas so we can judge our strength a little better. There are some teams that do around like one would in a scavanger hunt, trying to collect all the points from the small tournaments, but we are in it to compete. Disney is also a nice time to end the season.

P-1 never lost a game in region cup and has never lost a game in their age group to any Florida team. Region cup was a goal difference issue. They won games 9-1 and the rules states that count as a 4-1 win. So JFC went through because they beat the same team 5-0.
P-1 has beaten the Weston u11 team twice at Disney and won the showcase. They have already traveled all the way to Miami to play Doral u 11 --11 v 11. Most of there games are against u12 teams. P-1 and P-2 at OCYS are very good and keep get better. The points on Got soccer do not matter. The play on the field matters

Lets cancel the trip. Ocys wins it all. Doral will regroup for next year.

You left out one small detail that you played jfc, but could not beat them. If the number two ranking spot the p1 team currently holds was warrented, they should have been able to win the region. If the team was a strong as you say, they should be able to squeak by jfc, even on an off day. Secondly, boasting wins over weston is not the important, since they have not won any tournaments this year, nor are they ranked in the top ten.

Dannone cup at 2002 age groups will have all good u11 teams missing players. Its good for other player to step up

I am surprised that none of the kids from the p1 u11 team made the ocys danone team this year. I thought they had some good players on that team.

Real Madrid is ranked #3 in Florida, but choose to play in the second division???
Glad to see Real Madrid was just placed in the top bracket. It did not make sence for a team like this to play div ii. This is a very solid tournament with 5 of the top 7 teams in the state entered.

I will have go with the Argentinean team beating ocys in the final on this one.

Also interested in the east coast U10 8v8 teams. We have seen few of them, and playing up most of last year makes it hard to gauge. 11 yr old B teams are physically bigger, but not as high a skill level most of the time.

U11 and U12 teams are altered for this event due to the Danone Cup! Some teams will be missing top players in the u11 age groups. You never know. It will be a great tournament.
