Originally posted by Unregistered View PostIf we are talking numbers, here is the break down TOP 20 area teams today for U12-U18 (boys). Got Soccer rankings are hugely flawed. This does, however, paint an overall picture.
JFC 6 teams (two in U12 and one each in U13, U15, U16, U18)
CCSC 3 teams (U12, U14)
Creeks 2 (U12, U13)
JYSC 2 (U14, U17)
BTW the coach of the U12 CCSC team has a son that plays at JFC!
In addition to the above-mentioned, JFC has affiliation with the NPSL team JUFC and partners, often, with UNF soccer.
JFC is, simply, the powerhouse in the area.

Be a "Top" team in ALL of Florida (State Cup winner, State Cup finalist, State Cup Final Four or top ten ranking) from NEFL THEN you've got something to say. Of which over the years NEFL has produced very few very infrequently.
On a statewide basis NEFL just isn't very good in boys' youth club soccer.

And at U15 and above, after the top 4 - 8, all the rest of the teams should be ranked #9 (because there's not much difference between them).
Where as JFC is one of the biggest and arguably one of the best, if not the best in Jax, being a powerhouse in an area like Jacksonville is unimpressive.
Be a powerhouse in Florida - now THAT would be impressive.

You are a freaking idiot!

So, what's your real beef? Other players from yor kids team CHOOSE JFC but your kid didn't make the cut? For long term development and opportunity, especially on the boys side, JFC is the only real choice for seriously talented kids!

As a parent of a club soccer player you choose where you will spend your time and money. Nobody has a gun to anyone's head forcing them to play for their club. ED and SH, who were earlier implicated as player stealers, are not sneaking into other clubs offices and stealing player cards in the dark of night. They simply are responsible for a product offering. Think of it as a menu of sorts. Just like with food, if you like the menu selection at McDonalds better than Burger King then you will choose McDonalds. People that change clubs do so for various reasons. Those, like my family, that travel past other clubs daily to get to JFC do so because the other clubs quite frankly don't have a menu that suits our taste as well as JFC. In fact, to keep with the analogy, the other clubs gave us food poisoning. Again, nobody is stolen. The players and the families are the customer, and can therefore choose wisely the club that most meets their needs!

And to the poster that feels NE FL has no talent, why are you bothering to read on this thread? This is a discussion for those that live here who are looking for the best opportunities IN OUR AREA for our players. No one is comparing JFC to OCYS....so just relax.

Over his time in Florida, Creeks' Executive Director HM (now also at FKK, before that at OCYS and before that CFU) he accomplished little to nothing to get boys beyond youth club soccer during their high school years.

JFC's u11's are better than Creeks' u11's. JFC's are playing up in the U12 Gold Bracket- and if you want to go with a Got Soccer ranking of 4th in Florida. They're doing well in their bracket at 3rd. JYS U11s are also playing up in the U12 Gold braket and has a Got Soccer ranking of 10, however, they beat JFC's u11s and are in 2nd in NEFL
Creeks' u11's are playing on age, were spanked by JFC's u10s (playing up) and have only one 2 games. They're GS ranked 27. Creeks u10's are at the top of that bracket, not u11's.
Clay's u14's are playing on age, and not doing well while JFC is playing in the u15 bracket and doing well. How do you rank a team playing on age that's only won 2 games as a top team?
so let's revise your list, clearly JFC takes the cake on the boys
U11- JFC/JYS
U12 - JFC
U13- JFC
U14 - JFC
U15 - Westside* didn't look them up
U16 - JFC * didn't look them up
U17 - Jysc* didn't look them up
