We had a daddy coach at Celtic, he was terrible. Consistently putting his kid at Striker when the kid was as slow as molasses and disinterested in the game. When confronted by a group of parents the coach blew his gasket and said no one tells him how to coach.

Listen, all these "testimonials from happily daddy coached teams" are suspect and probably bullcrap. Anonymous testimonials extolling the wonders of daddy coach mean nothing. I challenge daddy coach supporters to to provide this:
Evidence of success: How many daddy coached teams made SC final 4? (team names/age/sex-don't post ambiguous evidence).
Also, address these points:

.....If you love coaching so much, coach another team. It is clear that the reason you coach your child's team is that you believe that ONLY YOU can coach them. The truth is, only YOU can "see their true talent" and protect them. The result is that your child never feels the satisfaction of achieving ON THEIR OWN. They will always have that nagging doubt in their mind, "Am I on this team and getting the playing time I deserve, or because I am coach's little boy?"
Why you would steal that key component of their competitive soccer development just so you can live vicariously thru them?

Do college/professional coaches recruit players who have 5 state cups, and multiple tournaments under their belt? Are players frequently asked how many region cups they won from 10-12? Coaches look for talent and most of the groups you mentioned play kick ball and are definitely not technical. YOU KNOW IT!

They will look at the top 10 state teams for recruitment purposes before they go to Division 2 and 3 teams for recruitment. If you don't have the wins, what will attract the scout to look at your team?
