True to some degree. 1/3 of the teams from the top group will advance and only 1/8 of the teams from the other two groups will advance. So with everything equal you have a better chance in the top group.

This is probably true from an overall perspective. However, on a team basis it really depends on which teams you actually have to play and not the overall numbers. You can be the second best team out of the 38 teams playing, but if you end up with one of the top teams in your group you might be screwed. Meanwhile the 16th best team might advance if they have an easy group or if things go their way.

I am sure that Disney tries to even out the groups as best as possible, but it is always difficult with the opening tournament of the year with the make up of teams changing from the previous year. A team that was top 5 last year might only be top 30 if they lost a lot of players. Meanwhile another team might have moved up with their pick ups.

You also have out of state teams which complicates thing as well. I don't think they have time to really analyze it so they probably just pretty much go by Got Soccer rankings and leave it at that. Probably works well for 80% of the overall seeding but there is always going to be 20% that is probably not done well/fair.

Teams that probably are a lot worse:
        1. FC America
        2. JYSC Fury
        3. West Pines

        Teams that are probably better:

        1. Plantation
        2. JUFC
        3. Miramar United

Florida Teams in the Puma VElite:
          FKK Kraze Black -Unranked
          Palm Beach Nomads - 52
          Space Coast Storm - 14
          Six teams total

Red and Black Divisions have 16 teams EACH

Unranked new team in the 6 team bracket? How?

OCYS U17 Purple ties a very watered down FC America yesterday, and is beaten by Space Coast 2-0.
                  Go City!

Who cares?!? Those teams will not make the round of 16 of state cup.

Wellington looked good yesterday and today. I saw a lot of possession from them.

Surprised by Plantation, they were a final 8 team last year and picked up some kids from West Pines. Thought they might climb to one of the top teams in the state, but doesn't look like it so far.
