People can't seem to wrap their heads around how many ways a POTUS can enrich himself if he puts his own interests above the country's. The Chinese curry favor by giving his daughter trademark deals. Foreign delegations stay in his properties .... actually, they don't even have to do that. All they have to do is book nights in the properties and pay the bill. They don't have to check in. One of the oldest tricks in the money laundering and bribery books.

These examples pale in comparison to the tax cut and fed rate policy changes you mention above. But they certainly add up. Anyone who thinks DJT's butt is behind the Resolute desk to serve their interests is freaking delusional and hasn't paid one damn bit attention.

What the allegation does do is use Parnas to close the circle between Ukrainian corruption and Russian corruption, and between Ukrainian money and Russian ratfcking, with Rudy Giuliani and the president* caught in the middle. 2. Sees the value of those real estate holdings decline in value, to the point where they are worth less than the outstanding loans
3. Knows the oligarchs have the power to call those loans at any time, which would force him into a very public and very embarrassing bankruptcy

How might that president behave towards those oligarchs?
