So far three in the Senate and 19 in the House. Hmmm.

The GOP has 22 Senate seats up in 2020 to the Dems 12. That means a lot of diverted resources to keep a hold of them (some are locks, others up for grabs).
13 of the 22 GOP seats are considered vulnerable in some respect verses just six of the 12 Dem seats.

Colorado, Maine, North Carolina, and Arizona are definite toss ups. Texas and Iowa are going to be very interesting to watch. Kentucky and South Carolina could get crazy depending upon how the impeachment proceedings progress. McConnell and Graham are going to be deer in the headlights on this. I think they'll hang on to their seats, but they may have a bigger battle to do so than they are accustomed to.

Collins in Maine is probably done. Her vote for Kavanaugh toasted her. The Democratic party raised $2M right after that for whoever would run against her. In other words they filled coffers with no candidate. GA has two seats up for grabs which almost never happens. I could see one going to each party.

Looks like the Democrats meltdown has already begun. I didn't think it would happen till after Trump was acquitted. As much as I love watching Democrats meltdown cry and whine I got more important things to do.

You didn't leave off an 's,' you left off "ic."

Democrat Party is an epithet for the Democratic Party, used in a disparaging fashion by the party's opponents. The term has grown in its negative use since the 1940s, in particular by members of the Republican Party—in party platforms, partisan speeches, and press releases—as well as by conservative commentators. Use of the noun when an adjective should be used is pejorative.

So you either did it to be a d!ck, or you can't pass an 8th grade English class.

It's "don't" not "dont." And you should have either a comma or period after the phrase "Sorry I had to do this." And what's with the double "the" in your sentence? ;-)

In what sense is there a Democratic meltdown going on? I sure haven't seen anyone crying today.

Melania probably doesn't care because she is mail order bride who no care as long as credit card work. Stormy got $150,000 cash, but a lifetime of gross memories. He also cheated on Ivanka with Marla Maples. Karen McDougal took $150,000 cash to not share her unprotected experience.

I get it that Donnie likes to run around and sleep with women in hotels. As long as Melania is ok with it, that is their business. But for heaven's sake, wrap up. The women interviewed said he goes bare back.

The bible says something like "when having intercourse with women who do porn films, always wrap it before you tap it". The idea of STD's in the fat president is icky.

Shokin wasn't ousted because he was investigating corruption at Burisma Holdings Ltd. He was ousted because he was refusing to investigate corruption within the Ukrainian government.

Biden was only one person in an international effort to advocate for Shokin's removal from his position. Civic organizations within Ukraine were already screaming for his resignation or firing, but it took a coalition of European diplomats, the International Monetary Fund and other international organizations to get the Ukrainian parliament to finally remove him.

There was an investigation into the company regarding actions they took in a time period that preceded Hunter's role on their board. The investigation took place while he was on the board, but his presence did not prevent the investigation from happening.

Hunter Biden was probably invited to join the board because he had a powerful name. I would not have a problem with that if he'd joined the board after his dad became a private citizen in January 2017. I do have a problem with it happening while his dad was in office.

Because of the facts above regarding Shokin's removal and that he did not prevent the investigation into Burisma's previous actions as a board member, I don't think there is evidence of wrong-doing here by the Bidens. It is stupid nepotism however, and they shouldn't have put themselves into that position in the first place. Because of precisely this. Perception is reality and they had to know how this would be perceived. They shouldn't have done it.

Nepotism is rampant in all parts of life. Can't really prevent someone from capitalizing on the family name or when someone tries to curry favor by 'buttering up' a relative.

If you are the governor, there is nothing that prevents me from hiring your son to a lucrative contract. I might then apply for a huge government contract that the governor has sway over. That happens every single day. It should be illegal, but how would you do that. You can't restrict relatives based on someone in their family being in elected positions.
