If so, when do these things typically get announced? Can you start an informal national search before the current coach has left and the position officially opens up?
You posted the same thing on a MA thread about college coaching changes. Did your kid not get enough PT? The above is correct. Soccer and sports in general just aren't that important to many small D3s to get rid of coaches unless something scandalous happens. So it's entirely possible the coach returns next year.

I believe that the OP was asking a question about the Women's team. Does anyone know why they aren't playing Tufts this weekend?

Word on the NESCAC sidelines is that Trinity coach/admin disqualified the team from post season play due to team bullying incidents.

By just attending Trinity you are being bullied.

A parent bullied the school which subsequently bullied coach to keep a player. Bullying seems to be a thing there.

And NOW the school wants to stand on moral high ground? That’s rich. Lost a long time coach bc the AD is a spineless person of low character. Too late buddy. That ship has left port.

Is the player doing the bullying the spawn of the parental bully? Or is it just a bad scene overall? I can't imagine players were happy about their prior coach leaving over what happened.

Total embarrassment for Trinity. The team can’t be happy with how this worked out. Not able to play in conference tournament because the AD says bullying when an arrest was made and a player was allowed on back on the team and a coach was let go because he stood up for what he was right

Trinity: We let parents bully us but won't tolerate it among students. Can't make this sh it up

What recourse does the school have with an overbearing parent, other than to stand on principle and refuse to cave in?

However, the school does have control over the actions of its students and if a student violate the Code of Conduct that nearly every school and Athletics Department has, then it has every right to enforce its policy and discipline the player.

A player was arrested for drugs. The prior coach wanted her off the team. The parents threatened to sue so the school and AD caved. The coach quit in disgust.

The change needs to be the AD and the whole administration. The stench starts at the top. They are shameful
