New Super Elite Clubs National League

Now that ECNL has grown to be a huge national league the quality across the board is dipping and it's average is becoming more good than elite.

The idea is a new league will be the best of the best of ECNL. It will take the top 20 teams into an upper division league that will be play truly elite teams against each other. No more pansies.

There will be relegation and promotion from the minor leagues (ECNL will be the B league SECNL will be the premier league).

The cost will be higher, with international travel, but it will be a true "super elite" league, not just in name.

And the Thorns still won't have an Academy...

Will the portland teams be in the premier or the B league?

Whichever league is 2 levels higher than whatever the Thorns Academy will be playing in.

This sounds like another money grab by the soccer elite.

ECNL already has millions cash in the bank.

Bottom line there will always be demand for ever more elite.

How will they determine which teams qualify for the super elite league?

They will all play the Thorns Academy and whichever teams beat them by at least 20 goals are invited. Only problem is that would probably include ALL of the ECNL teams. OK, make it 50 goals...

This will not be for Oregon teams so cool out.

Do you have any idea the cost of traveling internationally without sponsors?

The teams doing this will have sponsors.

you guys crack me up. Oregon teams will not be a part of this. They haven't even played in the regular league so they certainly aren't playing in the upper division.

                      Keep dreaming.

Let's see how Oregon does in the regular league first.

Way to bait 'em. The seriousness of their responses further illustrates the insanity.

ECNL does not have millions in the bank. Sometimes an organization collects money more up front or in the first few months but must then pay it out over the year. ECNL is less elite every month with new members. But, there is a huge demand.

Stop hating. None of you will qualify for this league so your input not welcome.
