Enjoy the fall while you can, blink and it will be over.

CCL is doing a terrific job too. Great to see the kids playing.

i have a daughter playing NEP. . from what i can tell the # of clubs and competition level has fallen off a cliff with the exodus of GPS/Surf, DPL, etc

i do not think what we have in MA is a sustainable situation. apart from ECNL which continues to deliver the top talent and best competition. . everything else is a scrambled mess

[QUOTE=Unregistered;2850161]Because the league fees were already paid and it's just a few smallish RI clubs left in NEP: Bayside, Bruno, Liverpool. Surf RI is EDP. Not sure what's left. The fact that NEP basically abandoned these clubs, families and players is a pretty clear indication of why we now have the mess of leagues we currently have: NEP, EDP, DPL, MLS, GAL, ECNL, CCL, etc.

Okay so can those RI clubs leave NEP mid year? Can Bayside, Liverpool etc leave NEP since NEP Screwed then over? Can’t they switch to EDP over the winter and be done with NEP by spring?

Isn't Bayside on the board of directors and the league director from Liverpool?

Clubs can leave to a new league over the winter if they want to. There would be an additional cost in insurance (pretty minimal but still there) to go from a US Club sanctioned league to a USYS sanctioned league.

The fact that RI teams have been left behind by NEP is very telling of the leadership in the league. Talk about turning your back on your family.
