    EDP New England League

Figured it would be good to create new thread for this new league. Several strong CT clubs going all in on this new league. NEP in MA is blowing apart and several teams joining this new start up. What do people think about this new development?

Not bad; it has most of the teams people are clamoring to see play each other.

Ct rush elite. Ginga. Sporting cfc north all
Played edp conference last year. Juventus from Boston played as well. This is just a New England specific division. Conference is the top edp brackets and then they also have New England regional brackets and then state brackets as well. Actually a good system where teams can move up or down Based on how they do like relegation. Some really solid teams in the top brackets. Ecnl is the clear top of the food chain but this league has to be next in New England now.

U19 is not a good representation. Its tough running teams at that age because many who aren't playing in college dont play as seniors

It is exactly the same just rebranded. The league is USYS which is EDP.

I dont think it is ..... i think old one was team v team and new one is club v club. I dont think you will see shelton or watertown or other town programs in the new conference at all.

They are a former GPS club from Boston that is now Rush New England. New England Surf and Rhode Island Surf are former GPS and NEFC clubs.

Quality of this league I think will be pretty good.

Definitely not the same and not rebranded. "Conference" is their top brackets. They had a conference last year. The ct teams that played conference played in ny and nj. The next step down in edp is regional. They had a new england regional division last year. The third step is the new england states league. That is the lowest EDP league. CT had their own states league.

But the hierarchy in EDP language is Conference, Regional and then states. For example last year CT rush eltie, sporting and ginga played conference. SCP played regional. Shelton premier played states division.
